Former government operative Bryan Mills finds himself framed for the murder of his ex-wife and must go on the run from both the police and the real killers. With his daughter's safety once again at stake, he uses his particular set of skills to uncover the conspiracy behind the killing and track down those responsible. Inspector Franck Dotzler pursues Mills whilst gradually coming to doubt the official version of events.
