Draug
(2018)
A group of soldiers sent to investigate the disappearance of a search party in a remote Swedish forest encounter a growing sense of dread and supernatural menace rooted in ancient Norse legend. As the squad ventures deeper into the wilderness, their numbers begin to dwindle and the boundary between the natural and the otherworldly dissolves. The film draws on Scandinavian folklore surrounding the draug, a malevolent undead creature, to explore themes of isolation, fear, and the darkness lurking within ancient landscapes.
