A young American journalist travels to Romania to investigate the case of a nun who died during an exorcism ritual that the officiating priest is now standing trial for. Sceptical at first, she begins to experience disturbing supernatural events that force her to question whether the priest was truly responsible for a murder or whether something genuinely demonic was at work. As the investigation deepens, she finds herself drawn into a terrifying confrontation with a malevolent entity.
