A American journalist travels to Europe after his daughter and her husband are murdered whilst on their honeymoon in London. As he investigates the crime, he discovers that similar killings have occurred across multiple European cities, each accompanied by a postcard sent to a local journalist styled after a famous work of art. He races to uncover the identity of the killers before they can strike again.
