Ill Fares The Land is a short drama film to be shot over 6 days across 2 weeks in London and Dungeness in early October 2022.
The logline is: A young boy finds a mermaid washed up on the shores of his seaside home while his older brother is swept up in the rising tide of anti-migrant, far-right nationalism.

Trey Baker lives with his drunk, single father and younger brother in a small, rundown seaside community. Forced to grow up quickly, Trey is the de-facto 'bread winner' of the family and takes on much of the caring responsibility when it comes to his young brother, George. However, in spite of his good heart, he has been corrupted by far-right nationalism and is part of an anti-migrant, neo-fascist militia.
I'm searching for a London-based actor to embody this role, ideally someone with some experience in stage combat.

I am looking for an actress or model to play a Mermaid. In the film, the Mermaid is a metaphor for a migrant who has attempted to cross the English channel -- seen through the eyes of a young, autistic boy whose brother has been swept up in far-right nationalism.
**Please note that partial nudity is required for this role** I envision the Mermaid to be topless on the beach, wearing a practical Mermaid tail. Totally (and always) open to private conversations about this with said actress regarding any fears, feelings of discomfort, etc.
