The Shield

A tough, morally compromised detective named Vic Mackey leads an elite strike team in a gritty Los Angeles precinct, where he operates outside the law as readily as within it. When a new captain arrives at the Farmington district station, internal investigations begin to close in on Mackey and his crew, threatening to expose years of corruption, theft, and violence. The series follows the constant tension between Mackey's brutal effectiveness at cutting crime and the mounting personal and professional consequences of his ruthless methods.
