Woke

A Black cartoonist on the verge of mainstream success has his life upended after a traumatic encounter with police, which triggers the ability to see and hear inanimate objects speaking to him. Guided by these hallucinations — including a garbage bin, a pen, and a flyer — he struggles to reconcile his newfound racial consciousness with his ambition to keep his career on track. The series follows his journey as he navigates activism, identity, and personal relationships in San Francisco.
