Tortured for Christ

A feature-length documentary depicting the life of Romanian pastor Richard Wurmbrand, who endured fourteen years of imprisonment and brutal torture at the hands of the Communist regime for his Christian faith. The film, produced by Voice of the Martyrs, dramatises his ordeal in Soviet-era Romanian prisons alongside testimonies and interviews that illuminate the wider persecution of Christians behind the Iron Curtain. Wurmbrand's eventual release and his founding of a global organisation to support persecuted believers forms the culmination of the account.
