The Outsider

A young American drifter is imprisoned in post-war Japan and, after being rescued by a Yakuza member, works his way into the criminal organisation by proving his loyalty and fighting prowess. As he rises through the ranks, he navigates a violent world of rival gangs, shifting allegiances, and cultural barriers that mark him as a permanent outsider. His relationship with a Japanese woman and his growing bond with his Yakuza brothers are tested as bloodshed and betrayal escalate around him.
