Casting English-speaking actors for roles in "Keeper of the Forest".

 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Set in mid 1500s Bavaria, a beautiful young girl - forced to enter the woods from which no man has walked free - encounters two beings: one who devours her soul, and one who will allure it. Before Bavaria was the southern region of Germany, it was its own kingdom. Keeper of the Forest follows a troll of one “wald” (woods) in this Kingdom, who seals away a manifestation of chaos - brought into the lands by the violence of constant warfare with neighboring countries. Kalina, the beauty of her remote village, is resented by the boys of the town for her chaste manner. They shove her into these woods, where the Keeper of the forest falls for her as well. Unable to bring down his seal and let her leave, he offers protection from the chaos that devours the hunters who brave his woods. The two fall in love, though Kalina has never seen his face. Upon discovering his appearance, she flees - believing him to be the monster. Too far from the troll’s protection, the chaos can catch her.
