Roxana Rahnama began acting in theater at the age of seven, and on the screen soon after.

In 1997 she lead as taleteller in Fräulein Schmetterling (Miss Butterfly), a persian play produced for the intercultural festival MultiKids which toured all over Austria.

Between 2002 and 2005 she was an actress and presenter for Kids4Kids on Confetti TV, the austrian version of a Mickey Mouse club.

Roxana first short film "HOW TO CARRY A PACKAGE" 2012 - a story of people who lost their loved ones during the Arab Spring, in which she wrote, directed, produced and acted the female leading role, earned nominations for »best foreign language drama« at the »International Student Film Festival Hollywood« and »filofest«, Slovenia.

She also performed in „SAG MIR WER ICH BIN“ and "Wenn (m)ein Herz lauter brüllt als mein Mund schreit“, directed by Corinne Eckenstein (Head of the "Dschungel Wien“)

Roxana played the female lead in the international award winning silent movie "Mis'TIC“ 2017. A short film that she cowrote with the director Eric Rino. Currently Mis’TIC is going on Festival Tour.

While studying Media & Arts in Los Angeles in 2015, she acted in the AFI Short film “NO WAY BACK“ 2016 (nominated for the college Emmy)- as well as the play “Zombie.“

She acted in the international awarded Feature feature "TEHERAN TABOO" by ALi Soozandeh, which is in the run for the 91st Academy Award in the category best foreign langue film.

Currently Roxana works as an actress and filmmaker in Austria.
