about the project
For the upcoming exhibition and film project by the internationally renowned artist Pope L. The film is based on a TV-game show format and deals with social political issues in contemporary culture.
The film shoot will take place in Amsterdam in May and August 2022, and the final film will be part of an exhibition at de Appel, art centre in Amsterdam, in December 2022.
Castings will take place in late April via Zoom.

For the role of HOST of the game show.
Requirements:
- Professional acting experience
- Experience with improv acting and/or stand-up comedy
- Feeling comfortable to interact with social taboo topics and representations. - Nimble and has a quick grasp of the situation
- Charming, good interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English (fluency in Dutch is a plus)
- Reliable assignment for a total of 10 days in May and August 2022 (approx.. 5 days in May and 5 days in August (paid, 8h/day, incl. lunch)
- This role will be developed in collaboration/conversations with the director, this requires some preparatory work for the development of the character

- Curiosity and pleasure in being in front of the camera
- Strong opinions on social taboo topics such as drug use, social classes, sexuality, money, etc.
- Openness to talk about personal experiences
- Fluency in English (fluency in Dutch is a plus)
- Reliable assignment for a total of 2 days in May 2022 and 3 days in August 2022 (paid work, 8h/day, incl. lunch)
- Needs to be comfortable with playing multiple roles/characters
- These roles will be developed in collaboration/conversations with the director, this requires some preparatory work for the development of the characters
