For a low budget short film in English – student production.
Logline: Getaway is a bizarre horror film about Oliver and Evelyn, a young couple, who go to a cabin in the woods to have a nice, romantic weekend away. Soon, the weekend turns into a nightmare as mysterious people in capes appear. Will they both make it out alive?
Our story is about what feeling jealous and being insecure can do to a person. It’s about how someone can get so caught up in their own world, they are capable of doing terrible things to others in order to get what they want. Evelyn spends a lot of time on social media. She wants to look just as pretty as everyone on there. She is obsessed with the 7 beauty marks which consists of: naturally long & curled eyelashes, almond shaped eyes, freckles, dimples on the cheeks, a spot above the upper lip, brown hair with light colored eyes and a gap between the front teeth. She wished she had them all, and she would do anything to get them… Literally. This is also what made her like Oliver: he has a spot above his upper lip. Evelyn has arranged a weekend away in a cabin in the woods. Oliver thinks it’s going to be an amazing, romantic weekend, but Evelyn has other plans.
Location: To be determined but somewhere in The Netherlands.
Shooting from 12th till 16th of December 2022.
No fee but travel expenses covered + catering provided. Also, use of footage for your cv.
