about the project
For the upcoming queer web series ’Bittersweet’. The first season consists of five 15-minute long episodes.
We’re currently casting the main characters for the first two episodes, which we’ll film as a pilot (in early April 2022). After the summer we’ll shoot the remaining three episodes (with the same cast and crew).
Shooting in Rotterdam/Leiden (Zuid-Holland) in March-April 2022.

Quinn (early 20s) is Zaya’s housemate and best friend. They’re alienated amongst peers and disconnected to labels, and they explore their relationship to masculinity whilst unraveling what it means to be non-binary.

Quiet and somewhat lonely, she is a film student at an international art academy. Throughout the show she is seen struggling with intimacy, mild substance abuse (weed), and a low self esteem. In contrast to these struggles, she expresses herself through a brightly colored exterior. She identifies as a lesbian.
ROLE: Livie - 5 episodes
All ethnicities - Good English (preferably native) - Acting experience (on set) - Special note: has intimate scenes. No nudity.
Our love interest is Livie. She seems confident and outgoing, but underneath her tough façade she actually has an unstable sense of self. This reflects in how she handles her own sexuality and how she uses the attention of others to feel better about herself.
