Casting "Aetheri" an original concept that brings the world of film and fantasy to a real life ball.
This project is both a fantasy ball and a short film. A short film will be recorded prior to the ball. The film will be split up in short clips that will be posted online and the last part of the film will be performed live at the ball itself.
We are looking for English - speaking talented actors who can bring our characters to life. Not only on camera, but also live during the ball event itself. At the ball, you will become the character you have played in the short film and interact with people as said character.
The story in short: The Aetheri kingdom is readying itself to open its doors to the annual ball, but during the preparations, something gets stolen from the king’s vault. Kyra gets put on the task to retrieve the object, but not without any hurdles…
On-site auditions will take place in Eindhoven around January 2025.
Recording will take place in the South of the Netherlands over two (separate) days. These will be discussed after we have picked a cast.
Filming will take place at the beginning of 2025. The ball will take place in early October 2025.
Roles are not paid. Kyra is the daughter of the captain of the guard, she grew up training and fighting with the other male guards. She is stubborn, determined, sassy, strong.

Theon is the captain of the Guards and the king’s closest guard. He is a strong and disciplined man who cares a lot about his squad, his regiment is like a family to him.

Godrick is the king of Aetheri. Diplomatic, jealous, harsh, selfish, short-tempered. He was forced to marry Medina at a young age. He once cared for her but that changed over the years.

Milo is best friends with Dax and Kyra. They have been friends since they were children. They often train together and have the most fun together. Milo’s other half is Dax, they are like brothers to each other. They joined the regiment at the same time, eventually they met Kyra and since that day they are inseparable.

Pirates in Raden’s crew. They are loyal to Raden and have been in his crew for some years. They are like family to each other.
Important notice: these three pirates will be the party makers at the ball. You should not be afraid to dance with strangers and to improvise.

Raden is the captain of his ship, his crew is like family to him. He met each of them on his many adventures until he ended up with a crew that would follow him to the end. He is only loyal to his crew and does not trust anyone outside of it.
