For a modern take on Jack the Ripper – a 6 part web series shooting in the NE of England.

We see him hunt sex workers and be chased by a detectives with no idea why he’s killing these women. Each episode focus’s on his victims with Jack himself being more of a side character.

NB Some scenes are violent and sexual with a couple of the victims. The sexual side of things is important given the victims lifestyles but please note there is no nudity (kissing, dirty talk, and implication that somethings happening).

Ripper will be released on our YouTube channel weekly which we hope can gain some traction and then submitted to film festivals as individual episodes.

Shooting late October and early November.

Note: actors must be resident in North-East England.

MARY ANNE - prostitute trying to support her struggling family. She has a bubbly personality and see's her job the same way most would view an office job, just normal day to day. She is always smiling and trying to put a smile on everyone else's face. A lot of her dialogue is trying to get men to sleep with her so tends to be vulgar.

ELIZABETH - uses her flat to be an in-house prostitute to support her young child. She is uncaring and quite emotionless, clearly having gone through a lot in life. The episode that focuses on her makes you feel really sympathetic to her life. When Jack enters she is very hands on, touching his face and kissing his neck so the actress will need to be ok with this.

CATHRINE - a young girl who is addicted to drugs. She was once a joyful and energetic girl but is now a shadow of what she was, selling herself now for money to get the drugs. Her father, Edmund, is the lead detective going after Jack and she is a targeted kill to hurt him.

ANNIE - an only fans model, her episode opens up to a montage of her taking photos in underwear. She eventually gets dressed and sits in her living room to watch a news report about Jacks killings when someone knocks at the window. The knock keeps coming and when she gets up to check it out he appears behind her, she tries to fight him and seems to have success but in the end she can't stop him killing her.

EDMUND - is the lead detective trying to catch Jack. He starts as a calm, composed man and is overcome by emotion after Jacks sickening and personal killings begin to effect him too much.

STEVIE is Edmunds partner but there is an understanding between them that Edmund is in charge. He tries to keep Edmund level headed and looks at situations without emotion or bias, he is Edmunds rock.
