Casting 'Hateelectric,' a mockumentary-style commercial short for a company called Loveelectric. This video will be hosted online on various platforms with the hope of creating something with viral potential. Our aim is to create something a bit different, a bit more risqué, and hopefully quite exciting.
Shooting Date: 11-12 Sep.
Shooting Location: Leeds, UK
Paid: £500.00 for an estimated 2 days of work
Auditions will be over zoom/google meet.

About the Character: The stereotypical ‘dodgy’ used car salesman; slick-backed hair, ill-fitting polyester suit, untrustworthy. He fears being left behind by the new electric car craze and believes it’ll spell the end of his livelihood: his family’s used car business. He sees the 2030 ban on petrol and diesel cars as the collapse of his future, unable to continue the legacy that his parents built. In his mind, things were much simpler and easier to understand when Top Gear was in its prime and Jeremy Clarkson wasn’t a farmer. As such, he’s taken it upon himself to lead an anti-EV crusade. He has the intention and mindset of Harry Wormwood & Joseph Valente, but the capability, execution and ‘charm’ of David Brent and Chabuddy G. His ineptitude and cartoon-ish antics should conjure a mixture of pity and ridicule, leaving room for redemption at the end of the video. Character Inspiration: Harry Wormwood; Joseph Valente; David Brent; Chabuddy G.
