Never Leave the Set without Telling Anyone

When you’re on set there’s often a lot of down time. You might be sitting in your trailer for hours on end or hanging around the catering table nibbling away.

And you may well get bored.

But whatever you do, do NOT leave the set without telling anyone.

Because the moment you do, that’s when they need you and won’t be able to find you and everyone is frantically trying to find you and you get a bad name because you aren’t there.

So when you first arrive on set make yourself known the AD and then if you leave – even if it’s only for five minutes to go to the bathroom or nip to the local shop or talk to a friend round the corner – tell the AD (or someone else with a walkie-talkie) where you’re going so they’ll be able to find you if you’re needed.
