Submission Templates

When you submit to a casting on enCAST, you first choose two headshots, then a CV, and optionally a showreel.

Then you write your email.

To save time, you can use Submission Templates. These are short blocks of text you have pre-written which you can use and adapt for the email.

For example, you might have a submission template like this:

Dear XXXX,
I saw your casting and am very interested in applying for the role of YYYYY.
I am based in Germany and speak both English & German fluently.
If you think I might be suitable I’d be more than happy to audition for you – I can easily self-tape.
Best regards and thank you for your time.

When you make a submission, you can select this text and then edit it for the job and send it away, saving you time when you submit.

Of course you can have as many templates as you like; this means you can choose the most suitable for each job you submit to.

Add/Edit a Submission Template

To view all your templates or add a new one go to CASTINGS > SUBMISSION TEMPLATES

Here you will see a list of current templates (if you have any). Click on the title to preview it or the edit link to edit it.

To add a new template, simply scroll down and use the ADD TEMPLATE form.

What can I include in my Submission Templates?

The texts should be very short, very simple, and just simple text without formatting.

The maximum length of any text is 1,000 characters or about 200 words. To read why this is, see here.
