Report a Casting Call or User

We get literally hundreds of castings crossing our desks each week.

By far the majority are perfectly legitimate and genuine and there are no problems with them.

But very occasionally one will raise a few flags and we’ll look into it further. We might then decide it’s ok and post it, or we might decide it’s a rogue casting and not to post it.

But unfortunately, very occasionally a rogue casting gets through and is posted.

If you ever come across a casting which doesn’t look right, then please do let us know. The safety of our users is paramount and we are very much on your side when it comes to this.

Let us reiterate that more than 99% of castings are perfectly legitimate so you do not need to worry unnecessarily about this; it’s only very, very, occasionally that you might find a rogue casting online!

But, if you ever suspect a casting is not what it seems, then do please contact us immediately. Even if you are not sure and just suspect something, do not hesitate to let us know. Believe us when we say we would much rather hear about good castings you think are rogue than allow anything suspect onto the site.

By the way, your reports are always anonymous in that we will never tell anyone (outside enCAST) who reported the casting (unless you give us permission to tell them).

Rogue castings generally fall into 2 categories:

1. Castings designed as money making scams
2. Castings which are pornographic or include some kind of dodgy sexual element

This is the procedure when a casting is reported to us:

1. We immediately take the casting offline while we check
2. We look carefully at what you say – the more you can send us (email screenshots, etc) the better
3. We contact the production to get their side of the story (without telling them who reported the casting)

After we have looked at all the evidence we then decide what to do:

1. If the casting is genuine, we put it back online
2. If the casting is rogue, we take it off permanently and usually ban the person who posted it

We have a zero tolerance approach to any form of bullying or harassment or any form of misogyny, homophobia or suchlike. This includes unwanted advances or approaches which you feel might be inappropriate or suspect.

If you ever have a concern about a contact you’ve received from another user, then please do contact us immediately with as much detail as possible.

We will firstly look carefully into the matter and get the other person’s side of the story and after we have looked at all the evidence we then decide what to do.

If the contact was a genuine misunderstanding then everything is good. But if there is any reason to believe the contact was not made in good faith or is not consistent with the general rules of behaviour we expect from our users then we will remove the other person’s profile and ban them from our site for life.
