Changes to the Submission Process on enCAST

After receiving a lot of feedback from Casting Directors, we will soon be introducing a new way of submitting for roles on enCAST.

CDs have told us they want to see shorter and simpler submissions from actors with just the key information and without lots of links to showreels, websites and so on.

In other words, they want to be able to see only the key information for each actor and nothing more!

So, to help our actors get more roles we will be making these changes:

  1. Removing the Templates on the Submission page

  2. Changing the current HTML text format to a simpler TEXT format

  3. Limiting the length of submission email texts

CDs have told us that in this way they will be able to go through submissions more quickly and be able to compare key facts about the actors more easily.

These changes will come into place in May, 2021.

Update 07/07/2021

After listening to your feedback and taking this into account, we have now introduced several changes to the system.

  1. Templates remain and you can access them here.

  2. On this same page you can also find a link to your old templates which are available to copy over. This will remain in place till the end of 2021.

  3. Emails are now in text format only.

  4. Emails are restricted to 1,000 characters or about 200 words; this has been put in place after extensive consultation with CDs!
