about the project
For a 15 minutes short film called “Breaking Free” genre: drama / coming of age. The theme focuses mainly on immigration, freedom, seeking independence, cultural gap.
Synopsis: Himangshu is an introvert young man from India, who lacks confidence to take decisions. He is at the mercy of his uncle, Jibi, who is very caring but close minded and strict and does not accept Himangshu’s German girlfriend Lina. Our hero, with the help of his friend, Tanay has to find the courage to stand in front of his uncle and regain the trust of Lina.
Shooting in Berlin from 2nd -5th August 2022. Casting to take place online or at the MetFilm School campus.
Rehearsal dates – specific dates TBC.
