GERMANY: actors (f), 25-35, Tamil/English spkrs, for film project in Berlin [P]
For a feature film entitled “The Finesse” by an internationally renowned British-Tamil artist. Oscillating between a historical documentary and a sci-fi vision of the not-so-distant future. Shot across multiple cities (Berlin, a.o.) using cutting edge AI and VFX technology, the film stars real actors as well as digitally synthesized characters, telling a very personal story, influenced by the director’s own family history.
SYNOPSIS: “The Finesse” weaves together the stories of three remarkable women: a revolutionary architect in Vanni in the early 2000s, a young Eelam Tamil diaspora entrepreneur in 2026 who has founded her own company and a future version of Kim Kardashian who, tracing her Armenian roots, has now become an outspoken human rights activist.
The film will premiere as part of an immersive installation in the context of solo exhibitions at the Institute of Contemporary Art, London, and the Museum für Moderne Kunst, Frankfurt, before traveling to Moscow and the United States in 2022.

Shooting 3-4 days in late February/March in Berlin and another week internationally in May/June.
