Working in Different Countries

Generally speaking it will be the film production who sort out visas, work permits, and the necessary paperwork for an actor to travel out of their own country and work.

In many cases, if you are right for the job then the production – especially if it’s a bigger production – will not have a problem sorting out the paperwork, especially if you are an actor with good credits and experience.

But remember, smaller productions, and especially productions which are expenses only or non-paid, are not likely to have the resources or budget to do this.

By all means apply to jobs throughout Europe, but the bottom line is that to avoid problems later on you must let the production know, when you apply, where you are based and your nationality if this will have a bearing on the paperwork.
