σχετικά με το έργο
For a student film titled “Bereaved”.
Logline: Two women from vastly different worlds have nothing in common but the man that made them family. At the arrangements for his funeral, Sarah –a young working-class mother, is forced to face her estranged upper-crust mother-in-law Moira – and with her the collective trauma that broke their family apart.
The film is entirely set in the backseat of Moira’s town car, as the two women share a ride to the funeral. Inspired by Amy Sherman-Palladino’s writing (Gilmore Girls, The Marvelous Mrs Maisel), the conversation starts civil yet fast-paced and gets progressively more passive-aggressive until it eventually erupts into a verbal fight.
This is a paid opportunity with a salary of £150 per actress + food and refreshments on set.
Shooting during the second half of September 2022.

About the role: A liberal young mother, not impressed by status or raw ambition who strongly believes that the key to a happy life is to follow
one's passion. She is very empathetic and values fairness and honesty. Generally, Sarah strives for peace and harmony. However, due
to her strong beliefs, she often fails to keep her opinion to herself. She detests Moira's world and encourages her late husband to live
the life he wanted outside his mother's influence. Now that he has passed, she has to come to terms with the fact that her best intentions might've put a wedge between a mother and her son.

About the role: An upper-class matriarch. Moira is an influential woman from old money. Her values are traditional and, more importantly, non-negotiable.
Preserving the social order is of the utmost importance to her, and she has gone to great lengths to cement her family's standing in (high) society. She's always striven for perfection and suffered great sacrifices to gift her only son the perfect life, with a perfect reputation,
perfect education and a perfectly respectable career. Naturally, the betrayal was devastation, when he decided to no longer obey
these immense expectations. Now that her son has passed, she struggles to accept that her best intentions might not have always been in his best interest.
