Casting Chinese actress based in Vienna for a role in ’CHINA GIRL’ a 10-minute experimental short film.

ABOUT THE FILM: An experimental short film depicting a fictional ‘China Girl’ (a term used for models who held colour swatches for the production process in filmmaking since the 1920s) breaking out of the white, male gaze imposed onto her, examining the role that she plays in filmmaking and reclaiming her space in history.

Shoot details: 2-3 days in the first weeks of September 2024 (exact dates TBC). On location in VIENNA, AUSTRIA.

The project is paid.
