Casting feature film ”RIOT/GIRL” an Austrian Production.

Synopsis: Iranian teenager NIKA (17) awakes after a long sleep in her aunt HENGAMEH’s (45) apartment in the Austrian capital Vienna. She is supposed to recover at their relatives from a nose job that has left her face completely bandaged. But from early on, something about the eerie teenager and her story about dropping out of school seems awkward, at least to Hengameh’s kids SARA (9) and SAM (19). As they begin to question the reasons of her visit, Nika, too, begins to question the apparent modern life of her exiled family. Especially Hengameh’s tight control of Sara and Sam’s lives and her husband BIJAN’s (47) passivity in their relationship seem to be symptoms of deeper issues eroding the foundation this family is built on. Soon, Hengameh starts to feel threatened by the presence of her rebellious niece, whose modern thinking not only opposes her old-fashioned education of the children, but also threatens to overturn the couple’s crippling secrecy…
