Looking for a female actor who can play the mother in our cinematic no-budget short film called „The Magic Trick“. A Thriller/ Horror short that explores the dangers of trusting strangers in the middle of the night and how fast you can become insane. Film to be sent to Filmfestivals worldwide.

SYNOPSIS: In the middle of the night, a young girl, isolated after a party and a fight with her mom, finds herself alone at a bus station with a dead phone battery. It’s cold and there is no bus in her sight. Desperate, she accepts a ride from a creepy stranger. What starts as a seemingly normal ride takes a dark turn when the driver insists on performing a ”magic trick”; The trick becomes horrifying as the driver intentionally hits and kills a pedestrian, leaving the girl in a shock. After a failed attempt to escape, she finds herself trapped in a car. Forced by the creepy driver she must execute a magic trick on an innocent child and mother or face deadly consequences. She’s torn between saving herself or the others, but she decides to perform the trick plunging into a world of darkness. But in a surprising turn, she turns the tables on him, performing the trick upon him. Returning home to her mother, she’s physically free but emotionally scarred, forever changed by this experience.

1-2 shooting days on a weekend at the end of May / beginning of June, in Zurich or Aargau.

Because it’s a no-budget short film, there is no payment. But lots of fun and free food is guaranteed. You can also use it for your own showreel.
