about the project

Greetings!

I’m a young writer-director who’s currently studying in Brussels. I don’t have much time to participate on bigger projects right now, but I thought I’d like to practice a bit. That’s why I’m looking for a partner to act in the short films I make in the months of November-December.

These shorts aren’t meant to be anything serious – it’s just practice to hone my writing and directing skills. I am looking for someone who is enthusiastic about working in films and would like to practice their acting skills. In other words, it’s an opportunity for you to just have some materials to practice with and get some experience. If we like working together, we might collaborate on future projects.

It doesn’t matter what age, gender, race, etc. you are because I would like to meet you and get to know you to write some shorts specifically for you. It will mostly be a two-person show: me behind my phone camera and you in front of it. I don’t expect you to have excellent English – even just basic English is okay as long as we can understand each other (disclaimer: I don’t know French or Dutch, I’m a foreign student around here). I might write shorts both with dialogue and without it, so you might not even have to speak a lot. We can discuss such details once we get in touch.

What’s important is that you are actually interested in cinema. I’d like to work with someone who just wants to experiment a bit in their free time. Nothing too serious but still challenging and fun.
