about the project

Casting featured extras based in Vienna for two non-speaking roles in "People sleep on their backs and sides", a short film.

Logline: May 2022. Sasha, a teenager from Kharkiv, Ukraine, navigates the gilded halls of Vienna, haunted by the war back home. Stranded between privilege and sorrow, Sasha flirts with the worst version of himself, lashing out at those seeming to adapt too easily. A feverish cocktail of survivor’s guilt, romanticism, and self-loathing pushes Sasha to extremes as he battles his own mind in a world where moral certainties have dissolved.​

Shooting Location: central Vienna, TBD
Shooting Date: Early morning of 01.06.2025 (exact call time TBD, approx. 1–1.5 hours total)

The project is: Expenses only (we can cover local transport/logistics).

Looking to fill the following roles:

playing age: 30 - 65
role languages: English
m/f, aged 30–65, who can portray a solitary, emotionally vulnerable presence. This character appears slightly disoriented, moving slowly through the city in the early morning. Ease with wearing a weathered, somewhat unkempt wardrobe, is appreciated.
